I've been photographing bedrooms around the island since 2009.
In 2014 I decided to change medium and to adopt an Hasselblad and it's 120 mm rolls. The square shape encloses the tighness of the inside of the cuban houses and the film, , captures with more reality the colors of life in cuban houses.
In 2009 I travelled with fellow photographer Enrique Rottemberg trought Cuba to photograph bedrooms. We wanted to document the space without the inhabitants to see what traces we, as humans, leave around us where we sleep and spend the majority of our lifetimes. The most intimate part of every home became the description of its owners.
This is the result of this adventure and search for our traces and roots as human beings.
En el mar la vida es mas...
"En el mar la vida es mas..."
Medio ambiente.
Environment. The invisible word, underestimated, harmless, used by everyone for everything. There is no urgency just an unreal future, an unachievable reality, a universal surprise.
This is the way we go on such fragile basis towards the path that creates and destroys. Finally everything goes towards the bottom, the good and the bad. Maybe from the sea there will be the rebirth of life.
